The course comprises theoretical and on-field activities.
Theoretical lectures will be held online, on Friday and Saturday, on fortnightly basis. The lessons will be held in Zoom by accessing the Master’s e-learning platform (Moodle); the site, reserved exclusively for enrolled students, will contain: teaching materials, class timetable and all other materials useful for carrying out the activities.
The first appointment will be held both face-to-face and online (blended activity) at the premises of one of the course’s partners.
The on-field activities will be held in residential weeks (3-4 days) distributed throughout the year (May 2024 – July 2024 – October 2024).

Attendance is compulsory for 70% of the activity hours.

The course foreseen an internship. It will last 200 hours (8 ECTS) and can be carried out in private or public institutions dealing with conservation in a wide range of aspects, both nationally and internationally. The students who cannot do the internship should write to the course secretariat to find an alternative training activity.

At the end of the Course, students will have to develop an integrated conservation project. The project will consist of active experimentation on the methods learnt during the teaching activity and must be carried out in groups.

The course management also organises and proposes, after the course and with costs to be defined, an experience abroad in the context of conservation projects on the African elephant and the reintroduction of the European bison.
